Dance Theater
In October 2025, the Keepers attended a conference in Madison, Wisconsin, and encountered a woman named Tamika who was experiencing homelessness who passed along 5 pages etched with writing and illustrations called the πΌππΌππ ππΌπππ.
On the pages, we were able to piece together more of her story, the people she had met, the art that she enjoyed. Each page vaunted an abundance of mystic and sensual imagery.
An original dance piece was choreographed by Ari Strand (UWRF Dance Team and instructor at The Dance Project, River Falls) with original music by Landon Zientara.Β Β
Five talented dancers comprised the 1st KEEPERS DANCE ENSEMBLE: Monet Zientara, Brecca Gardner, Laura Klein, Mira Meinen, and Keira Anderson weave the tale embedded in Tamika Lashay Evansβ πΌππΌππ ππΌπππ.Β The dancers were pictured by Wade Gardner at our Cinema ObscuraΒ event in River Falls, Wisconsin.
The πΌππΌππ ππΌπππ dance piece was displayed at the Guild of Keepers Cinema Obscura on September 10th accompanied by original music by Landon Zientara and voiceover by Kenyan voiceover artist, Hellen Kaswii. Lights for this show were designed and programed by Ryan Wysocki.
